Ingredients

12 slider buns

2 teaspoons canola oil

1 bag (12.7 oz. each) Gardein® Meatless Meatballs

1 can (24 oz each) Hunt's® Zesty & Spicy Pasta Sauce

4 ounces vegan mozzarella shreds

1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
-
2 tablespoons Earth Balance® Vegan Buttery Spread

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step one
Preheat oven to 350°.

Step two
Split buns and place cut side up on a baking sheet and toast in oven unttil lightly browned, about 8 to 10 minutes,

Step three
In a skillet over medium heat, heat oil until shimmering. Add meatless meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 6 to 8 minutes. Add pasta sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until meatballs are cooked through, about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt Earth Balance. Add flour and mix thoroughly. Slowly add milk, whisking until incorporated. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until thickened, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes. Add vegan cheese shreds, garlic powder, salt and pepper and whisk until cheese has melted.

Step five
Place one vegan meatball with about 1 tablespoon pasta sauce on each slider bun bottom. Top each with 1 to 2 tablespoons cheese sauce and top slider buns.

Garnish sliders with chopped parsley and serve with remaining sauces on side. Enjoy!
